The analysis, based on data from nearly 136,000 Consumer Reports members, reveals wich brands are most likely too deliver lasting performance.
Consumer Reports’ vacuum ratings provide detailed performance and reliability assessments for individual models. When a specific model isn’t yet rated, consumers can consult brand scores to understand a manufacturer’s overall track record. These scores are statistically modeled, incorporating lab test results, member survey data on reliability and satisfaction, and price. Brands offering strong performance at lower price points receive a boost in their score.
Currently, Consumer Reports provides brand scores for stick and upright vacuums. To ensure accuracy, these scores are only calculated for brands wiht at least three models in current ratings.
