It was a perfect season opening for Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Besiktas, six minutes in overtime.
Portuguese Rafa became the big hero in the 2-1 victory over Eyüpsspor.

Abraham scored his fifth goal in three games and was given to the lead after 18 minutes. The away team’s Mame Baba Thiam equalized after half an hour’s play.
Besiktas created several big chances, including Abraham and João Mário, but both were hindered by good rescues. In overtime, Rafa made 2-1 when he hammered the ball into the net.
Solskjær immediately reacted by pointing the finger to the temple -while all Besiktas players and supporters took off completely.
Eyüpspor finished in 6th place last season, nine points behind Besiktas in 4th place.
Jonas Svensson played 85 minutes as a right back for Besiktas.
Lausanne is the next opponent in qualifying for the Conference League.
