Lars Fast Overcome as โMusical Idols โคAcda & De Munnikโ Perform His song on “Best Singers”
Hilversum, Netherlands – Singer-songwriterโ Lars Fast โwas visibly moved Saturday โคevening on the โคpopular NPO 1 program Best Singers asโ Dutch musicalโฃ duo Acda en De Munnik performed his original song, “She Lets Me Talk,” dedicated to โฃhis partner, Sterre. The performance drew โฃkeen praiseโ from โfellow contestants and judges alike.
Acda en De Munnik intentionally chose a song that felt authentically within their own musicalโค style,โ according โขto Paulโข de Munnik. “What is very nice is that Lars has been veryโข inspired by us from the start,” heโ explained. “We chose a song that I think could have been a songโ of oursโฆ We are not going toโ change โขthat much at โall. We are just going โฃto sing the โขsong as if you have written an Acda and the โMunnik song.”
Fast was already emotional beforeโ the performance began. “Oh, how stunning. That is already a very nice compliment,” he said,acknowledging the honor. He shared the โpersonal importance of the song, explaining, “Iโข am not such a talker. I do that in my songs orโค on the couch at Sterre and goes there She lets meโข talk โขAbout.” Thomas Acda added, “It’s anโ ode โคand that’s nice.”
Following the performance, aโ visibly touched Fast embraced โthe duo.”Thank you,” he said, adding,โฃ “That Acda and โde Munnik, my great examples, sing a song that I made for and about Sterre, there is already a lot in my head together.”
Fellow contestants Jan Smit and Paul de Leeuw also lauded the rendition. Smit commented, “The โฃlove for Sterre seeps through the entire song,” while deโข Leeuw declared, “It has become a real Acda and the Munnik โnumber. Youโ just want to hear this more frequently enough.”
Fast concluded the evening withโ a deep bow, stating, “It’s really a gift and I’m going toโ put โit โsomewhere in a bar in my head. I โopen โคit occasionally andโ thenโฃ I will smile I think.”
The program Best Singers airs every Saturday atโข 8:30 pm on NPO 1.โ A segment featuring bente Fokkens reflecting on her own emotional performances during theโ series was also included inโ the broadcast.
