When the ‘La Academia’ program began, the prize was 1 million pesos, but after the support of the host, Jaime Camilwho donated 250 thousand pesos out of the admiration he feels for the participants, inspired the prize to double.

The driver also noted that he contacted businessmen and brands to help the winner. Just days after that, the businessman and owner of TV AztecaRicardo Salinas, increased the prize.

“I invited business partners to join and they have contacted me (…) Don Ricardo wants them to have a livelihood, and for the winner he contributes one million more pesos, which means that tonight the final figure for the winner It is 2 million 250 thousand pesos,” Camil said.

With the donations of Ricardo Salinas and Jaime Camil, the prize for Mario Girón was 2 million 250 thousand Mexican pesos in the 2024 generation.

Signing with record labels for the first three places

Although the biggest prize went to first place from ‘La Academia’, the first three places got signings with the most important record labels in Latin America and a Benelli brand motorcycle.

In addition to Mario Girón, second position went to Caro Heredia and third to Julio Ávila.

Who is Rommel Pacheco, the new head of Conade?

Rommel Aghmed Pacheco Marrufo is originally from Mérida, Yucatán and was born in 1986. He has a degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Human Capital from the Universidad Anáhuac del Sur.

The new head of Conade participated as a diver in four editions of the Olympic Games (Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020).

After his participation in the last Olympic Games, he began his political career as a candidate for federal deputy with the National Action Party (PAN).

In 2023 he left the PAN to join Morena, where he was a candidate for mayor of Mérida.
