Passenger’s 9-Hour Delay Nightmare: American Airlines Flight Diverted Due to Storm

Jakarta –

Delay always an annoying thing to do airplane passengers. On this flight, delays felt like hellish torture.

Reporting from New York Post on Saturday (23/9), a passenger named Vince Conley told of his experience flying together American Airlines. He flew from Little Rock, Arkansas to Dallas, USA.

Entering a domestic flight, the route should only take 90 minutes. But what makes passengers suffer for 9 hours?

Flight 5085 is scheduled to fly at 16.30 local time. The plane flew without any problems.

About an hour and a half after the plane took off, the plane had not yet landed. Conley tried to ask the cabin crew.

It turned out the plane had been diverted to a small airport in Wichita Falls, Texas. There would be a big storm passing by, they would not be allowed to continue their journey.

The plane landed at 18.45 local time, they were asked to stay on the plane because the storm was too big and accompanied by lightning. Patiently, they spent two hours on the plane.

Luckily, none of the passengers on the flight were annoying. 90 passengers try to become a unified team.

“There was one family that had children aged 2 years and 3.5 years. The children behaved very well, everyone praised the parents,” said Conley.

The two hour wait turned into 5 hours. The situation is getting more difficult, passengers are starting to feel tormented. However, the passengers on the plane again tried to be positive while waiting.

Finally, the plane was allowed to take off. Unfortunately, that feeling of happiness was dashed again. Around 9 p.m., the lights on the runway went out due to a storm.

All passengers and cabin crew were forced to leave the airport. Then came the ‘miracle’.

“When I entered the terminal, one of the first people to get off bought snacks from a vending machine, about half the contents of the machine. He then distributed the chips and food to everyone,” he said.

Conley then went to another automatic machine to buy a drink. But again a generous passenger bought them for everyone.

Half an hour passed, a female passenger from the flight stood up and was busy pacing. Talking on the phone, the woman was just busy saying ‘Yes, yes!’.

At that moment, they all saw a Papa Johns delivery driver outside the airport’s glass doors carrying 20 packs of pizza. Apparently this woman treated all passengers, crew and airport staff.

The entire airport was moved, this woman’s kindness warmed what had been a long day. They were only able to fly at midnight and arrived in Dallas at 01.30 in the morning.

“I arrived home around 2.30 am. It was a very long day, but full of goodness,” he concluded.

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

All 111 passengers were on board flight Swiss International Airlines arrives at destination. However, all the suitcases or items that should have been in the plane’s luggage were not brought.

Plane passengers waited at the baggage conveyor after they landed in Bilbao, Spain, Saturday (9/9), but it was later discovered that the flight had departed from Zurich, Switzerland, without a single bag in the trunk.

As quoted from AFP (12/9), Swiss International Airlines spokesperson, Kavin Ampalam, said that there was a shortage of ground staff at the departure airport, in this case in Zurich.

The flight crew had waited more than an hour to load baggage, but “for operational reasons”, ultimately decided to depart without baggage.

Ampalam said the reason the plane couldn’t wait was because it had to pick up passengers in Bilbao and return to Zurich before the airport closed at night.

“We understand the situation is unfortunate for the people involved, and of course we regret this inconvenience,” Ampalam said.

Frustrated passengers told German-language Swiss news outlet Blick that although the pilot had apologized for the take-off delay, there was no mention that the bag had been left behind.

The media report said the passengers waited for more than two hours on the conveyor belt, until they were told by staff at Spanish airline Iberia that their bags would not be coming.

In the latest information shared with Simple Flying, Ampalam said most of the bags had been sent to Bilbao on Sunday (10/9).

“We fully understand the frustration and anger of passengers, especially as many of them are traveling on holiday,” he said.

“For Swiss International Airlines, the situation is completely unsatisfactory. That is why we are reviewing our processes to prevent similar cases from happening again,” he added.

Air Canada Passenger Upset Over Removal of Two Passengers – Clean-Up Protest on Plane

Jakarta –

A passenger is really upset with Air Canada. He said two passengers were removed from the plane due to a clean-up protest on the plane.

reported Insider, Tuesday (5/9/2023) the passenger who confided was Susan Benson. He wrote on Facebook about the incident that bothered him. He tells about the two female passengers who were removed from the plane. They sat right in front of him.

In a Facebook post dated Aug. 29, Susan said she witnessed two women and a man fighting for seats on a flight from Las Vegas to Montreal, Canada. Susan wrote at the time she smelled a slight stench but had not yet realized where it was coming from.

Shortly afterward, however, he said he noticed someone had vomited on an earlier flight.

“Air Canada tried to do a quick pre-board cleaning but obviously couldn’t do a thorough cleaning. They put coffee grounds in the seat pockets and sprayed perfume to cover the smell,” he wrote in the post.

The passenger told the flight attendant that there was still vomit on their seat, and they wanted to change seats. But the flight attendant said the flight was full and there were no more options.

“The flight attendants explained that the flight was full and they couldn’t do anything about it. The passengers said they couldn’t possibly sit vomiting for five hours,” Susan added.

The flight attendant returned with a supervisor. A similar explanation was given by the supervisor that the flight was full and they had no other seats. Finally, the cabin crew gave them blankets to sit on and more tissues to clean the seats.

Not long after, the pilot came quietly and knelt in front of the two passengers.

“…the pilot headed down the aisle and very calmly knelt down and told the two women that they had two options. They could leave the plane of their own accord and arrange their own flight at their own expense or they would be ushered off the plane by security. and put on the no-fly list because they have been rude to the flight attendants,” Susan added.

The passenger sitting next to the two women defended the two passengers who did not want to sit. He said the passenger who was reluctant to sit was not rude at all. The pilot was adamant in his opinion. Apparently, he then reported the situation to security guards and escorted the two women off the plane.

Susan wrote on Facebook that she also reported the incident to Air Canada. He also defended the two passengers who were expelled.

“I don’t know if they were actually put on the no-fly list or not. I can’t stop thinking about these two women. They did nothing wrong,” said Susan.

Jakarta –

Passengers experience scary moments American Airlines who was frightened because the plane fell for 3 minutes as high as more than 4 km in the air. Oxygen masks scattered.

Reported from Fox Business, Tuesday (15/8/2023) the scary moment was told by a University of Florida professor who took part in the flight. The incident occurred on American Airlines Flight 5916 last Thursday, after taking off from Charlotte, North Carolina, and heading to Gainesville, Florida.

“I fly a lot. It’s scary,” Hove said in a tweet.

“Kudos to our incredible cabin crew and pilots on American Air 5916. These photos do not capture the smell of burning, loud bangs, or ringing in the ears,” he wrote.

“A part failed mid-flight and depressurized the cabin. A burning smell could apparently be associated with the use of the oxygen cylinders. The wings went out to quickly lower our altitude to allow for more oxygen. Terrible… there were about 10 minutes that really didn’t work.” great… but turned out fine,” Harrison Hove tweeted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The plane then landed at Gainesville Regional Airport just before 5pm.

If you look at the photos shared by Hove on X, it can be seen that the passengers were wearing oxygen masks that fell right above their heads. Behind the horror of this flight, some passengers also praised how calm the crew was amidst the panic of the passengers.

In a statement, the spokesperson American Airlines told FOX Business that the sudden drop in altitude was caused by a barometric pressure problem.

“American Eagle flight 5916, operated by Piedmont Airlines, from Charlotte (CLT) to Gainesville, Florida (GNV) landed safely at GNV on Thursday, August 10th descending to a lower altitude. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and thank our team for their professionalism,” the spokesperson said.

Disturbing Incident on Flight: Doctor Caught in Indecent Act Next to 14-Year-Old Girl

Jakarta –

A flight turned into a ‘disgusting’ experience for this 14 year old girl. When all the passengers were asleep, he found the man sitting beside him committing an indecent act.

What made it even worse was that the man turned out to be a doctor from Massachusetts, United States of America. What’s the story like?

Quoted from the New York Post, Dr. Sudipta Mohanty (33) last May traveled by plane from Honolulu to Boston. On that trip, he was accompanied by a young woman. Meanwhile, beside him sat a 14-year-old girl with her family.

When all the passengers were asleep, the girl saw strange movements on Mohanty. He saw Mohanty’s feet moving up and down under the blanket.

Shortly thereafter, the girl found Mohanty uncovered, unzipped her pants, and continued to masturbate until she ejaculated. When Mohanty went to the restroom to clean herself, the girl immediately moved to an empty seat in another row because she was disgusted and uncomfortable with what she had just witnessed.

Arriving at the airport, the girl immediately told her family, who then reported the incident to airport officials.

Mohanty was also questioned by FBI agents, who said the doctor was “nervous and shaking” when questioned.

After the incident, Mohanty was sentenced to 90 days in prison, as well as one year of supervised release and a fine of US$ 5,000 or around Rp. 76.6 million. However, Mohanty was finally released on condition that he keeps his distance from youth under the age of 18 and a place that allows youth to gather.

Meanwhile, the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), which oversees Mohanty, said that the doctor was currently on leave and could not provide further information.

“Currently this person is on leave and not practicing at BIDMC. We cannot comment much on this personal matter,” said the hospital.

Jakarta –

One passenger was really upset that his suitcase was missing. In fact, it was traced to the airport.

reported Daily Mail, Thursday (3/8/2023) the passenger who lost the suitcase was a female comic from Australia Michelle Brasier. He will be performing at the world’s largest arts festival Fringe Edinburgh Festival on 29 July 2023.

But alas, the suitcases did not show up on the baggage conveyor at Edinburgh Airport on the KLM leg of the flight they were on. Yes, not just one suitcase, but six missing suitcases. In fact, thousands of pounds worth of stage equipment and props, costumes and musical instruments for the gig were in the suitcase.

Until three days later, no good news was delivered by the airline. However, AirTag tracking tools showed the bags were already in Edinburgh.

Brasier returned to the airport to collect the suitcases. However, the problem is not over. Airport staff said the suitcase could not be accessed.

After that, there was further information that three suitcases had been moved to the arrivals area and could be collected. Meanwhile, three other suitcases were stuck in a part of the airport that cannot be accessed by the public.

“A kind airport employee tried to help us but he didn’t have the authority to collect the suitcases. Our AirTags showed the bags 50 meters away from us. We begged please let us pick them up, the suitcases were there. We had to gig,” said Brasier.

But unfortunately, this officer still can’t help or contact the officers in charge of that problem.

He said he had repeatedly called and emailed Swissport, the baggage handling company for KLM, but to no avail.

Finally, the comic asked for help via a tweet on Twitter.

“If you work at Edinburgh Airport and can help me with my six missing pieces of luggage, let me know!” that’s the tweet.

Swissport finally responded and replied that they are working on getting the bags back together with Brasier and his team.
