Action Issues Recall of Kettlebell Weights Due to Radiation Concerns
[CITY, STATE] – Discount retailer action is urging customers to promptly stop using and return a specific model of 10 kg kettlebell weights sold between July 28 and August 7, 2025, due to the detection of increased levels of ionizing radiation. While the company states the radiation intensity doesn’t pose an immediate health threat, prolonged and regular use is discouraged.
The recall affects weights available in pink, blue, and black. Action is offering a full refund upon return to any store, and a receipt is not required.
“Immediately stop using this product and return it to the nearest Action store. You will recieve a full refund,” the company stated in a press release.
Action, working with manufacturer via Chassé, is also requesting customers to spread awareness of the recall, particularly if the weights were gifted, loaned, or resold. “Tell others about the withdrawal of this product, especially if you know that the product has been borrowed, donated or resold,” the company urged.
Customers can identify the recalled weights by the following barcodes: 8714333018244, 8714333018251, and 8714333018268.
This recall follows similar actions by other retailers recently, including PepcoS withdrawal of three products and a warning from Biedronka regarding issues with flour, highlighting a broader trend of proactive safety measures within the retail sector.
