Chung-Ang University Forgesโ International Ties to โLead inโ Metaverse & ICT
Chung-Ang University is activelyโ positioning itself as โa global leader in advanced โData and Interaction Technology (ICT) and the metaverse, focusing onโ building strong international โcollaborations to โestablish a thrivingโค virtualโ convergence economy ecosystem.
The university recently โคhosted the “2025 Global Virtual Convergence Economy Conference” in Hanoi,Vietnam,on November 19th,in partnership with the Realistic Mediaโฃ Innovation Convergence College Project Group,the Virtual Convergence College,and theโ Content Future Convergence Forum. The conference aimed to share insightsโ into emerging โtechnologies – including realistic media,โ the virtualโ convergence economy, artificial intelligence, and the metaverse – and to cultivate a robustโค global network centered โaround Korea โand vietnam.
The event kicked off withโ welcoming remarks from โWi Jung-hyun, Chairperson of theโ Virtual Convergence Economy โขForum, followed by aโข keynote address from Lee Eun-kyu, Science and Technology Attachรฉ at the Korean Embassy in Vietnam. Lee outlined Korea’s strategicโ direction for Artificial โขIntelligence development.
Ha โThi Hong Van, Deputy Director ofโ the Institute of Economics and world Economy at theโ Vietnam โขAcademy of Social Sciences, presented onโฃ the progress and challenges facing Vietnam’s digital economy, highlighting the โpotential benefits of strengthened collaboration between the two nations. Wi Jung-hyunโข further elaborated on collaborative opportunitiesโ in a presentation focusing on “Korea-Vietnam Cooperation Strategies โขThrough the Integration of virtualโข Convergence and the Artificial Intelligence industry.”
The afternoon sessions featured โขa diverse โคrange of expert โpresentations. Professor Ko Hye-young of โSeoul Women’s University showcased “Prosocial Game Project Education for Social Innovation,” while Acting Secretaryโ General Le โToan Thanh providedโฃ anโฃ analysis of “Vietnam’s Startup Ecosystem.” Professor Kang Sin-jin of Hongik University discussed โevolving collaboration structuresโค in game development within the age of AI, and Professor Kim Kyuhyun of Chung-Ang University presented case studies on technologicalโ convergence across โขvarious industries, specificallyโ focusing on “Artificial โIntelligence and Animation.” Kim Yong-tae, โขBranch Manager โคof Letuin Edu, explored “The effectiveness of EdTech in โขAdvanced Manufacturing Education,” andโ Professor Won Eun-seok of Mokwon University concluded the conference with a discussion on “Stablecoins and Digital Content Services.”
Chung-Ang University believes the conference considerably strengthened ties between universities, companies, and research institutionsโค both domestically andโ internationally, creating a solid foundation for โขfuture business ventures in the virtual convergenceโ economy.
