UC Berkeley Prepares for Turningโ Point USAโ Event Amid Heightened Security Concerns
BERKELEY, Calif. โฃ – UC Berkeley is bracing โfor a Turning Point โUSA (TPUSA) event Monday atโ Zellerbach Hall, designated a “major event” triggering increased security measures. The event carriesโข significant weight, marking two months since the โdeathโข of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk, and will serve asโข the final stopโ on the organization’s campus tour.
The event, originally โplanned with Kirk as the speaker, is now being held in his honor. John Paul Leon, presidentโข of Berkeley’s Turning Point chapter, noted the profoundโ shift in atmosphere since Kirk’s death. “It’s changed dramatically,โ of course, as the assassination of Charlie Kirk,” he stated.
