Iga Świątek Advances to China Open Round of 16 with straight-Set Victory Over Yue Yuan
Beijing, China – iga Świątek continued her successful Asian swing, defeating Yue Yuan 6-0, 6-3 in the second round of the China Open on Wednesday. The Polish star, seeded first in the tournament following aryna Sabalenka’s absence, has now won five consecutive matches, building on her recent title run at the WTA 500 event in Seoul.
Świątek dominated the first set, breaking Yuan’s serve three times to secure a swift 6-0 victory. While Yuan managed to break Świątek early in the second set, the Polish player quickly responded, leveling the score and ultimately taking control to win 6-3.
Świątek will next face Camila Osorio, who has also progressed through the tournament, defeating Ann Li and Anna Kalinskaya in three-set matches.
