Suzanne Nance Leaving All Classical Radio: CEO Steps Down

All classical Radio CEO Suzanne Nance Steps Down After Decade of Leadership

Portland, OR – July 1, 2025 – Suzanne Nance, President and CEO of All Classical Radio, is stepping down after 10 years leading the nationally recognized classical music station [[3]]. Nance will be relocating to Ireland to join her husband, conductor and composer Desmond Earley, and will assume a new leadership position at a “premier arts institution” in Europe.

During her tenure,Nance oversaw significant growth and innovation at All Classical Radio,including the construction of a new headquarters in Portland’s KOIN Tower in 2024,complete with five production studios and a performance hall [[3]]. She also spearheaded the launch of the International Children’s Arts Network, an HD radio station dedicated to programming for children and families, in 2019 [[3]].

Nance’s career spans both the arts and public media. Prior to joining All Classical Radio in 2015, she held roles at WFMT Chicago, Maine Public Broadcasting Network, and WHYY Philadelphia, beginning her career as a professional soprano [[3]]. She has also served on the advisory board of Anthology,a platform of All Classical Radio [[1]], and was previously Vice President of Programming and Program Director at All Classical Radio since August 2015 [[2]].

All Classical Radio, a nonprofit serving 250,000 listeners in Oregon and Southwest Washington, has initiated a national search for Nance’s successor [[3]]. Listeners can tune in at KQAC 89.9 FM or online at allclassical.org.
