Sudden Lights Announce Talk to Me Tour and New Single

The “talk to me” tour brings Sudden Lights to audiences across Northern and Central Europe this autumn. The band is scheduled to perform in Finland’s capital Helsinki, Estonia’s cities Tallinn and Tartu, Lithuania’s capital Vilnius, and Germany’s capital Berlin. These live sets feature a mix of brand-new musical material and established fan favorites from the group’s catalog.

Simultaneously, the band debuted the single “talk to me” across digital music platforms on September 16. The track bridges raw rock energy with electronic indie-pop textures. According to frontman Andrejs Reinis Zitmanis, the song captures feelings of isolation and longing in a digitally saturated world. “This song is about presence at a time when presence is very scarce,” Zitmanis explains. “It talks about desperately falling into an artificially created image and about lonely yearnings to be noticed for even a moment.”

Production and Collaborative Process

To shape the sound of the new single, Sudden Lights partnered with British producer Ed Bentley. Bentley previously worked as a sound engineer on the Parcels hit “tieduprightnow” and performed guitar on Johann Johannsson’s score for the film The Theory of Everything. Recording sessions for “talk to me” took place across Berlin and Riga.

Zitmanis notes that the collaboration yielded an organic creative process. “Ed and I developed an organic partnership, and the journey through the twists and turns of the song was truly exciting,” Zitmanis states. “We experimented a lot with where the song could be taken while maintaining the energetic sound.”

Prior Milestones and Recent Developments

The new single and tour follow a period of significant growth for the group. Last year, Sudden Lights released their fourth studio album, titled īsas vasaras garas ziemas, which translated to Short Summers Long Winters. That release led to the band’s largest solo concert to date at Arena Riga. Over the course of their career, Sudden Lights has earned several music awards, including honors in categories such as Band of the Year, Pop Album of the Year, and Concert Recording of the Year.

Beyond the studio and stage, the band’s visibility extends into broader cultural and media spaces. Recent public interest has touched on uncanny resemblances between frontman Zitmanis and professional hockey player Eduards Tralmaks, alongside lighter moments on the road, including a marriage proposal caught by audiences during a live performance.
