‘strictly Come Dancing’ Star Stefan Dennis to Miss Weekend Performance Due to Illness
Stefan Dennis has been advised to rest by doctors and will not dance on Saturday’s episode of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ with partner Dianne Buswell, a BBC spokesperson confirmed. The news was shared on the show’s official Instagram page.
“Due to illness over the past few days, Stefan Dennis has been advised to rest and, as a result, he will not dance this weekend,” the statement read. ”In line with the rules of Strictly, Stefan and Dianne will receive a bye thru to next week when they will hopefully be able to dance again.”
Producers added in a caption: “Stefan Dennis won’t be dancing on Saturday night due to illness. We wish him a speedy recovery and will hopefully see him back in the Ballroom with Dianne next week.”
Fans expressed support for the ‘Neighbours’ actor, known for his role as Paul Robinson. One fan wrote, ”Hope you feel better soon, Stefan – you’ve been brilliant so far,” while another commented, “The competition won’t be the same without him this week.”
Dianne Buswell also shared a message: “Sending alll my Aussie love steffo. I know how much you wanted to dance.”

Dennis’s withdrawal follows other setbacks in the 2025 series. Love Island winner Dani Dyer previously had to quit the competition after fracturing her ankle in rehearsals and was replaced by Amber Davies.
Recently, rumors circulated about Vicky Pattison potentially dropping out after she and partner Kai Widdrington missed an appearance on the ‘It Takes Two’ spin-off show. pattison clarified on Instagram that both she and Widdrington were unwell with a bug, stating, “Huge apologies to anyone expecting to see me and Kai on It Takes Two tonight. Doing all we can to get back to our best and back to the training room asap.” She later confirmed she had not dropped out of the show.
