BREAKING: Street Racer Collection Races onto Modern Platforms November 27
The cult classic Street Racer is speeding onto PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, xbox one, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on November 27, the developer announced. The collection includes the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Mega Drive, and MS-DOS versions of the 1994-released Street Racer.
Street Racer Collection combines “the speed of an arcade racer with the brawling of a fighting game,” according to its Steam page. Players will race on tracks filled with obstacles and “crazy settings (from Mount Rushmore to Transylvania),” utilize special moves to hinder opponents,and explore modes beyond conventional racing.
The Street Racer Collection features:
* Four games in one: Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Mega Drive, MS-DOS, and Game Boy versions.
* Up to 27 unique tracks with shortcuts, traps, and challenges.
* Eight cartoon characters with unique vehicles and special attacks.
* Varied racing options, including speedy laps and 80-lap marathons.
* Local multiplayer for up to four players (on Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Mega Drive, and MS-DOS versions).
* Four Game Modes: Practice, Head-to-Head, Championship, Rumble Mode, and Soccer Mode (not available in the MS-DOS version).
The collection is described as “a true cult classic, remembered to this day for its creativity and boldness” and offers “unique and pioneering mix of kart racing and combat.”
