Los Angeles, CA – ‍ Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is⁣ shaping up to be⁤ its “best yet,” ⁣according to cast members, with season four promising further exploration of James ⁢T. Kirk’s‌ formative years and​ Spock’s evolving identity. Details emerged from a recent Los Angeles Times Screenings event featuring Ethan Peck, Rebecca Romijn, and paul Wesley.

The upcoming season will delve⁤ into the development of Captain​ Kirk, with Ethan Peck noting moments ‌where “I ⁤see the formation [of Kirk] and it’s really exciting.” ​ Spock’s character arc will also continue to evolve, ‍as Peck described the Vulcan learning “how unique he is and how different than others he is… becoming more certain in his⁣ sort of ⁣difference, the​ way he’s different.”

Paul Wesley, who plays James ⁣Kirk’s brother Sam kirk, hinted at a significant emotional storyline. He explained the show is taking “kernels, these little things that just pieces of information from TOS and⁣ exploring them‍ in an emotional way.” Wesley specifically highlighted his character’s relationship with James Kirk,‍ stating it will showcase “Kirk’s emotional ties to other humans… humanizing a ⁣very significant character in American television⁣ history.”
