Stefon Diggs on Proposing to Cardi B & Super Bowl Plans
During Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs indicated a marriage proposal to Cardi B may be “on the agenda,” but prioritized securing a Super Bowl ring first. When asked by Funny Marco if Cardi would be “getting her ring” after the game, Diggs responded with a laugh, stating, “It’s on the agenda, maybe. Right? I gotta get mine first.”
Diggs’s comment comes as the Patriots prepare to face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8th. Both teams completed the regular season with identical 14-3 records, setting the stage for a highly competitive championship game.
The potential proposal follows Cardi B’s recent filing for divorce from Offset for a second time in July 2024, prior to the birth of their third child. While the status of the divorce remains unclear, with reports in 2025 indicating Offset sought spousal support, Cardi B has expressed openness to remarriage. Speaking to Jenna Bush Hager on “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” last September, she stated, “Yeah, I would get married again. I believe in love. I’m like a hopeless romantic.”
Cardi B was visibly elated after the Patriots’ 10-7 victory over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game on January 25th, celebrating with Diggs on the field. She shared her excitement with NBC Boston, stating, “We all we got, we all we demand,” echoing the team’s postseason mantra.
Diggs, who is in his first season with the Patriots after stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, and Houston Texans, is seeking his first Super Bowl victory. He told the media following the AFC Championship win, “I’ve been playing this game since I was five years old. I always wanted to be a champion, always wanted to be a Super Bowl champion. The opportunity is right there in front of us, and we’re one game away.”
Alongside her romantic prospects, Cardi B is preparing to launch her “Little Miss Drama Tour” on Wednesday, February 11th, in support of her recently released album, AM I THE DRAMA? The tour will include performances in cities across North America, including Houston, Detroit, New York, and Chicago.
