Star Wars Galactic Racer to launch Oct 6, available on Amazon Luna, says MovieZine
Star Wars: Galactic Racer, an arcade-style racing game developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode, launches on October 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, MovieZine reported. Swedish Amazon Prime members gain immediate access to the single-player mode via the Luna cloud gaming service at no extra cost, as Sweden is among the supported regions where titles can be streamed directly without downloads.
The release brings high-speed vehicular competition back to the Star Wars universe with a distinct focus on survival and risk management.
Galactic Tour Campaign Uses Roguelite Mechanics
The single-player campaign, titled Galactic Tour, is designed as a roguelite rather than a traditional linear career mode. Set during the New Republic era after the fall of the Empire, the story follows a new protagonist named Shade and is divided into three acts, casting players into an illegal racing league in the outer reaches of the galaxy where racing involves far more than merely crossing the finish line first. During each run, players unlock upgrades and abilities for their vehicles. Unlike traditional racers that reset players to the track with a brief time loss, Galactic Racer tracks every collision.

Critical reception ahead of launch has been strong, with Metacritic recording a Metascore of 88 across 58 critic reviews, including a 10/10 from IGN Germany and 9/10 scores from GameSpot and Push Square.
Vehicle Types Race Across Multiple Galaxy Locations
The game features multiple vehicle types, separating standard speeders from traditional podracers, which are the fastest vehicles in the game and include classic competitors like Sebulba from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
Circuits take players through Tatooine, Crait, Ando Prime, and new locations such as Lantaana and Sentinel One.
Fuse Games co-founder and studio head Matt Webster directs the project, which runs on Unreal Engine 5 with a musical score composed by Gordy Haab. The studio was founded in Guildford in 2023, and its leading staff had previously worked with Lucasfilm on vehicle combat in 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront and the Starfighter mode in 2017’s Battlefront II. Key mechanics from the developers’ past work return, including takedowns that allow players to slam rivals into environmental hazards. Physical Collector’s Editions are priced at $159.99 and include a landspeeder model, pilot badges, and a steelbook, while pre-orders grant a bonus paint job and player banner wallpaper. The title was previously presented at The Game Awards in December 2025 alongside Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic.
