“Star Academy” Contestant Théo L. Previously Auditioned for “the Voice Kids“
Orléans native Théo L.,a new face on the 2025 edition of Star Academy,previously competed on The Voice Kids in 2017,mirroring the path of former Star Academy winner Marine,who herself gained initial recognition on a different televised singing competition. This revelation adds another layer to Théo L.’s story as he pursues a career in music through TF1’s flagship program.
The connection to Marine highlights a growing trend of Star Academy contestants with prior experience on other singing shows, offering them a second chance at stardom. Théo L.’s journey, from performing at village festivals to auditioning for national television twice, underscores the dedication and perseverance required to break into the music industry.
Currently working in event production – renting audio equipment and providing sound engineering services – Théo L. also performs with a mobile stage setup he transports in his American truck,according to Purecharts. During his 2017 The Voice Kids audition, he performed Sia’s “Alive,” earning positive feedback from coaches Jenifer and Patrick Fiori.
Though ultimately chosen by Patrick Fiori, Théo L.’s run ended during the battle rounds after losing to Kelvin in a rendition of Michael Jackson and Paul mccartney’s “Say Say Say.” He stated, “My passion is singing. Today, it is indeed time for me to move from the shadows to the light,” signaling his renewed focus as a contestant on Star Academy.
