Stabbing Suspect Arrested at SF General Hospital – Examination Ongoing
San Francisco, CA – A man is in custody following a violent stabbing incident that unfolded on December 4, 2025, leading to a suspect’s arrest at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded to the hospital at approximately 3:04 p.m. regarding a stabbing victim. Initial reports indicated the victim had been stabbed multiple times earlier in the day, around 1:39 p.m., and was already receiving medical attention.
The San Francisco Sheriff’s Department had already detained the suspect at the hospital when officers arrived. The victim’s injuries are considered life-threatening.
the SFPD’s Strategic Investigation Unit (SIU) is leading the investigation. Investigators quickly established probable cause to arrest 34-year-old Wilfredo Tortolero Arriechi of San Francisco in connection with the attack.
Arriechi has been booked into San Francisco County Jail facing multiple felony charges, including attempted murder (664/187 PC), assault with a deadly weapon (245 (a)(1) PC), mayhem (203 PC), and being armed during the commission of a felony (12022 (b)(1) PC).
While an arrest has been made, the SFPD emphasizes that this remains an active and ongoing investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with facts related to the incident to come forward.
