Spacetoon Invests in Samaka Studio to Fuel Original Animation Franchises
RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA – MENA-based kids and family entertainment network Spacetoon has taken an equity stake in cairo and Abu Dhabi-based animation production house Samaka Studio, the companies announced this week at the Saudi Film Confex 2025. The investment signals Spacetoon’s commitment to developing original intellectual property (IP) and building globally recognized franchises.
The partnership will see the establishment of a regional animation hub focused on creating multi-platform content with international appeal.Samaka Studio, known for animated projects like R.E.M and Kamaroza, will continue to operate with creative independence while producing exclusive content for Spacetoon.
