Reports from The Hollywood Reporter indicated that a notable decade-long, $3 billion deal between Paramount, Parker, and Stone had been jeopardized when Skydance reportedly withdrew its support for the agreement amidst the merger.
However, a resolution was reached on Wednesday, with Paramount and the “south Park” creative team finalizing a new agreement. This renewed pact includes an order for 50 new episodes and grants Paramount+ exclusive streaming rights to all 26 previous seasons of the show.Season 27 is scheduled to air on comedy Central, with subsequent availability on Paramount+ the following day.
