Sony launched Live TV on PS5 in the U.S. on August 31, bringing over 100 free, ad-supported live channels and on-demand entertainment directly to PlayStation 5 users. According to an official PlayStation Blog post, players can access the service through the console’s Media tab without requiring a paid subscription or hidden fees.

The newly deployed service features a diverse catalog of intellectual property sourced from major media partners. Free movie offerings span channels such as MovieSphere by Lionsgate, 50 Cent Action, FilmRise Free Movies, Sony One Horror Hits, and Cinevault.
Television programming includes syndicated fan favorites like Community, The Shield, Hell’s Kitchen, The Walking Dead, Forensic Files, Unsolved Mysteries, Deal or No Deal USA, and Fear Factor, alongside A+E’s Ice Road Truckers. Anime enthusiasts gain access to titles like Naruto, Sailor Moon, Hunter x Hunter, and Death Note, alongside dedicated Crunchyroll channels. Sports fans can stream coverage from FOX Sports, NASCAR, NBC Sports Now, and UFC, covering mixed martial arts, football, hockey, motorsports, and soccer.
