SonixLegend’s Massive Steam Collection: A Record-Breaking Backlog

## Steam⁣ User Reaches Milestone: First to Own Over 40,000 Paid Games

A Steam user known as SonixLegend has become the first to⁤ amass a collection of over 40,000 paid games on the ⁤platform. Their library represents the‌ vast majority of the approximately 45,000 “full profile” paid games currently tracked ‍by SteamDB.⁤ with thousands of new titles released on Steam‍ annually, according to SteamSpy data, a badge for 50,000 owned games may soon be within reach.

So what’s good?

Determining⁢ the size of SonixLegend’s ‌actual “backlog” is difficult, as their private account doesn’t publicly display playtime for individual games. However, ‌they’ve earned at least ⁣one achievement in 261 games and have provided “Recommended” reviews for only⁤ 16 titles on their Steam profile.

The ⁢task of completing even a ⁤portion of ⁤this collection ‌is daunting.⁢ Data ⁢from HowLongToBeat estimates that finishing the “top 2,500” games in SonixLegend’s ⁢library would require over 2,463 days-nearly seven years-of continuous gameplay.

Interestingly, ‌SonixLegend’s most-played game isn’t included in their record-setting achievement.Their Steam ‌profile shows 551‌ hours spent playing Valve’s 2010‍ free-to-play overhead‍ shooter, Alien Swarm. Despite access to a vast catalog of modern PC games, this user consistently returns to a 15-year-old, free title.
