In ‘It were two fantastic days’, Monique Westenberg (47) is on television for the first time about the break with André Hazes (31). Love may be over, the gossip press does not leave their families alone. Monique finds it particularly difficult to see what all the press of the press does with their 8-year-old son André Jr.
“I have to explain to him, because he also sees things”
Monique and André have now separated for the fourth time. The gossip magazines are therefore again full of the latest updates about the love soap. And their son also gets a lot of it. “I have to explain things to him, because he also sees things. He also knows that these booklets are there to gossip,” says Monique in the SBS6 program.
She recently brought the dog to her ex-boyfriend with her son. “Then there was also a photographer at the door. So yes, I say,” There is someone in the car and he is going to take pictures of us. ” Then he said, “I’m going to him and I’m going to raise my middle finger at him.” “Monique stopped little André to do that.
She is clear about the reporting in the gossip press: “It is a bit biased now and then, and people are going to hire it as truth. I find that so bad.” And although she says that all gossip no longer touch her nowadays, she still thinks it is to hear: “I find the lies so annoying. Especially when it comes to things that my son is involved or that he gets to read.”
Monique says that she has been making more conscious choices lately, as when she decided with André to bring out the news of their last breakage while they were in America. “After two weeks it always ebbs away a bit. Then the sharp edges are off. In the past I have experienced that after such a message they were immediately in front of my door, and really for days. They followed me up to the schoolyard and in the supermarket. I really don’t think that’s okay.” Now, however, she feels ‘stronger than ever’.
