South Korean singer and actress Son Dam-bi recently purchased a sofa for her eight-month-old daughter, Hae-yi, valued at 7.8 million won (approximately $5,800 USD), according to reports from CHOSUNBIZ.
The purchase is part of a larger effort to furnish a new home for her family, a move prompted by a monthly rent of ₩10 million for their current residence in Itaewon, plus an additional ₩800,000 in maintenance fees. Son Dam-bi and her husband, former speed skating athlete Lee Kyu-hyuk, married in 2022 and welcomed Hae-yi in April 2025.
Son Dam-bi has been documenting the process of preparing the new home on her YouTube channel, “DambiSon.” A video released in December 2025 showcased her interior shopping, which included selecting an Italian luxury faucet for the baby’s bathroom and a custom wardrobe from the high-end furniture brand M, with prices for such wardrobes starting at over 1 million won and reaching up to 6 million won for custom designs. She also expressed her desire to purchase additional books for her daughter, noting Hae-yi’s growing collection.
During the shopping trips, Son Dam-bi playfully commented on the rising cost of her tastes, and jokingly remarked that her standards for Hae-yi’s room exceeded those for her own closet. The new property is currently undergoing extensive remodeling, with footage of the second floor being stripped for renovation previously shared by the singer.
Alongside the home renovations, both Son Dam-bi and her husband recently underwent health checkups and reviewed blood test results. Lee Kyu-hyuk discussed potential medical interventions, although Son Dam-bi emphasized the importance of diet and exercise.
