Sydney audiences can once again participate in the interactive phenomenon Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote as part of the 2025 Sydney gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras festival. The cult hit event, featuring a screening of the Murder, She Wrote episode “A Fashionable Way to Die,” invites attendees to become detectives alongside Jessica Fletcher as she investigates a murder during a visit to a designer friend in Paris.
Following prosperous runs of “Broadway Malady”, “Sing a Song of Murder” and “Paint Me a Murder”, Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote offers a unique and hilarious evening of games, prizes, and audience participation, all with official permission from NBC Universal Television. The show,previously lauded by Time Out as one of LondonS 50 Great Nights Out in 2021 & 2019,has enjoyed sold-out performances across the UK,ireland,the USA,Australia,and at festivals including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (2023-2025),Adelaide Fringe 2025,and the inaugural Murder,She Wrote Festival in California (2025).
Hosted by dedicated super-fan Tim Benzie, the event includes a competitive race to solve the crime using the “fameometer” and “Suspiciometer,” a challenging “To Cabot Cove” quiz, a singalong to the iconic theme tune with newly written lyrics, and entertaining clips and biographies of the episode’s guest stars.
