Mesplède, France – The small village of Mesplède is demonstrating big-hearted generosity this Saturday, September 27th, as residents prepare to host a fundraising event to support a local team participating in the prestigious 4L Trophy. This annual rally isn’t just a race; it’s a humanitarian mission aimed at delivering vital school and sports equipment to children in need in Morocco.
The 4L trophy, known for its challenging route from France to the Moroccan desert, requires notable financial backing for participation. To help their team reach the starting line and maximize their contribution, the young women organizing the effort have planned a full day of community activities.
A Day of Festivities to Fuel a Noble Cause
the fundraising day kicks off at 8:00 AM in the village hall with a conventional “breakfast at the fork” – a hearty spread featuring eggs, ventrèche (cured pork belly), salad, cheese, apple pie, coffee, and wine.Tickets are priced at €12 per person, and registration is mandatory by September 15th to ensure adequate catering.
The afternoon brings a change of pace with a doublets pétanque (French boules) tournament at the sports hall, starting at 2:00 PM. Teams can participate for €10, with an on-site refreshment bar and attractive prizes up for grabs.
“To make this project a reality, we need you,” the team members emphasized.”Participating in this adventure represents a significant budget: registration for the race, fuel and tolls, equipment, and donations for the children. Each contribution, even the smallest, brings us closer to the starting line.In exchange, we will share with you our preparations, our adventure, and our strong moments through photos and videos.”
