October 4, 2023 – A wave of advancements in artificial intelligence, data governance, and cybersecurity defined the week in real-time analytics, with key players announcing integrations and new solutions aimed at accelerating AI deployment and bolstering data protection.
Zapier unveiled significant upgrades centered around its new AI assistant, Copilot, alongside making core tools free and enhancing enterprise governance features. The company also connected AI agents to data using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and added over 30 new AI integrations, positioning itself as a central hub for business AI workflows.
In the data protection space, Commvault launched Clumio for Apache Iceberg, a solution designed to provide air-gapped cyber resilience for critical AI and analytics workloads, addressing gaps in existing backup tools.
