SleazyWorld Go Pleads Guilty to Gun Charge
Joseph R. Isaac, a 28-year-old Kansas City, Kansas rap artist known professionally as SleazyWorld Go, pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of felon in possession of a firearm. The plea stems from an October 2022 law enforcement operation following social media posts.
Federal Investigation and Surveillance in Kansas City
Federal law enforcement initiated a criminal investigation into Isaac after spotting photos on social media of the artist holding firearms. A previous 2016 conviction for armed robbery in Michigan’s Kent County Circuit Court meant Isaac was legally prohibited from possessing any firearm under federal law. He had served a prison sentence for that conviction before being paroled in September 2019.
On October 19, 2022, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives tracked Isaac as he drove to a parking lot in Kansas City, Kansas. Surveillance teams watched him step out of his vehicle and retrieve a firearm from the interior. Investigators later recovered a pistol from the vehicle. Subsequent laboratory testing confirmed that Isaac’s known DNA matched genetic material retrieved from the recovered firearm.
Judge Schedules Isaac Sentencing for January 2027
A federal district court judge scheduled Isaac’s sentencing hearing for January 26, 2027. The judge will determine the final penalty after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys David Zabel and Taylor Hines are prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives remains the lead investigative agency overseeing the ongoing federal proceedings.
