PNB Customers in Greater Noida Allege Rs 35 Crore Bank Fraud

October 28, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Customers of Punjab National Bank in Greater Noida alleged on Wednesday that nearly Rs 35 crore vanished from their savings accounts and fixed deposits without their authorization.

Missing Millions in Greater Noida Savings Accounts

Affected account holders discovered the missing funds when they visited their local branches or checked their balances independently. Vijendra Singh, a farmer who received compensation from local authorities, told reporters that his savings account balance plunged from roughly Rs 87 to 88 lakh down to just Rs 1 lakh. Another customer, Haneef Khan, held an account at the bank branch in the Pi-1 area of Aichhar in Greater Noida and found that his entire balance of Rs 39 lakh was no longer visible. Zakir, a third account holder, discovered a deficit of Rs 9.5 lakh when he visited the branch in person.

Customers insisted they never authorized the transfers. Khan stated that he neither received a text message nor signed any document approving the movement of his money. Zakir similarly confirmed that no text notifications reached his phone regarding the deductions from his account.
