Silent Hill 2 Remake Reportedly Headed too PlayStation Plus This Month
The Silent Hill 2 remake may be arriving on PlayStation Plus as early as October 21st, according to a new report. Subscribers to the Extra and Premium tiers could soon gain access to the critically acclaimed horror title without needing to purchase it separately.
This potential addition to the PS Plus catalog comes less than a year after the remake’s initial release as a PlayStation 5 console exclusive last October, also available on PC. Konami previously stated the game would be available on “other formats” starting October 8th, 2025. The reported PS Plus inclusion could signal an acceleration of that timeline or provide a significant incentive for PlayStation as wider platform availability approaches.
Reliable insider billbil_kun of Dealabs first reported the news, citing details indicating the remake will be added to the service on the specified date. Developed by Bloober Team, the Silent Hill 2 remake has been praised for its reimagining of the classic psychological horror experience.
The move follows the recent release of Silent Hill f, developed by NeoBards Entertainment and published by Konami, continuing a resurgence for the long-dormant franchise. Bloober Team is also currently in full production on a remake of the original Silent Hill, and has not ruled out a sequel to thier recently released title, Cronos: The New Dawn.
this potential addition to PS Plus arrives alongside the October monthly games already revealed during Sony’s State of Play stream: Alan Wake 2, Cocoon, and Goat Simulator 3. The Silent Hill 2 remake would represent a substantial, and unexpected, bonus for subscribers.
