Shiga Judo Tournament: Mixed Teams Crowned Winners

Mt. Hiei High School‍ A Claims Victory at 2025 Shiga ‌National Sports⁣ Memorial High ⁤School Judo​ Tournament

Shiga Prefecture – Mt. Hiei High School A (Shiga) secured the championship title⁣ at the 2025 Shiga National Sports Memorial High School Judo Tournament,bolstering local enthusiasm for ​national sports venues. The tournament,⁤ held this month, showcased high-level competition across both men’s and⁤ women’s divisions,⁤ with teams ‌vying for top honors and qualification for ‌further national events.

The tournament was divided into two tiers for the men’s competition, based on qualifying league performance. Saitama Sakae High School (Saitama) emerged victorious in the higher tier, defeating Tenri High School (Nara) 3-0 in the final. Key matches included Raohei Nao Shota’s technique against Takada Tomosei, Arai Tsukido’s contest⁢ with hoshio Yuki, and⁤ a draw between Nakayama Torahoshi and Takahashi Daisuke. Kamiko Gakuen High School (Hyogo) took the‍ top spot ​in ⁤the lower tier,followed by Kyoto University of Advanced Science High School (Kyoto).

In the women’s division, featuring eight teams, Mt. Hiei High School A again demonstrated dominance, claiming‌ the Yu Katsu (championship)⁣ title.Minokamo High School A (Gifu) finished as runner-up, while ⁤Saitama Sakae High School (Saitama) and Ritsumeikan Uji High ⁢School (Kyoto) tied ‍for third place.

The results of this tournament will influence team participation in ‍subsequent national high school judo competitions, continuing to drive development and competition within the sport.
