Sharon Osbourne Slashes Rent on $17M Los Angeles Mansion
Sharon Osbourne has reduced the monthly asking rent on her historic Los Angeles mansion in Hancock Park to $55,000, dropping the rate by $10,000 after failing to secure a tenant or buyer since listing the property in June, according to property records and real estate listings cited by The Blast. The sprawling 11,565-square-foot estate, which she once shared with her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, remains simultaneously listed for sale through Carolwood Estates for $17 million.

Kellogg in 1929. Property records cited by The Wall Street Journal indicate that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne purchased the estate for $11.85 million in 2015. The residence spans more than half an acre and features seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
Listing details emphasize that careful restorations have maintained the historical architecture while incorporating modern luxuries. The main level includes a formal living room, dining room, grand foyer, and a wood-panelled library. Additional amenities include a chef’s kitchen connecting to a family room and outdoor dining area equipped with a pizza oven and barbecue, landscaped gardens, a large lawn, and a swimming pool covered with hand-laid mosaic tile. The lower level houses a screening room with a fireplace and bar, while an elevator provides access across multiple levels, alongside a self-contained guest apartment positioned above the garage.
Market Timeline and Prior Listing History
The current dual-listing strategy follows years of shifting plans for the property as the family prepared to return to England. Ozzy and Sharon initially placed the residence on the market for $18 million in July 2022. They subsequently reduced the asking price to $17.5 million before removing the listing entirely after deciding against a sale at that time.

Sharon returned the property to the sales market for $17 million in April 2026, approximately nine months after the Black Sabbath frontman died at age 76. On June 26, the estate was also introduced to the rental market at $65,000 per month. Redfin property records show that the monthly rent was lowered to $55,000 on July 31, where it remains.
At the current rental rate, a one-year lease totals $660,000, down from the original $780,000 projection. Reports from The Daily Mail indicate that prospective tenants must also provide a $195,000 security deposit, and tours are strictly limited to pre-qualified clients. The property also carries several recorded loans, though public documents do not reflect the current repayment status or exact monthly obligations.
