Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Tournament Underway in Dhanbad, Carrom Finals Set
Dhanbad, jharkhand – The inaugural day of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Tournament commenced Wednesday in Simfer, featuring competitions across five sports. Simfer Director Arvind Kumar Mishra officially opened the games, which include bridge, chess, table tennis, carrom, and badminton.
The tournament, hosting six teams, is being held at the Sinfar complex for bridge, chess, table tennis, and carrom, with badminton matches taking place at Kala Bhavan.
In a standout performance, Parul Garg and Dr. Rupali Vaichal advanced to the finals of the women’s carrom competition. The semi-finalists in men’s carrom are AINO goa, CRRI Delhi, CBRI Roorkee, and CMERI Durgapur.
Badminton’s men’s semi-final lineup includes AINO Goa, NCL Pune, CBRI Roorkee, and IITR Lucknow. Men’s table tennis semi-finalists are CBRI Roorkee, IITR Lucknow, CRRI Delhi, and CMERI Durgapur.
