Shakira sets Amazon Music livestream record with Madrid concert
Shakira set a new viewership record on Amazon Music when her October 3 concert in Madrid became the platform’s most-viewed livestream performance by a female artist to date. The streaming service shared the news via press release on Sunday, October 4, the day after the Colombian superstar’s performance was broadcast live to viewers at home, who were able to watch via Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Twitch.
The milestone event formed part of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, specifically taking place during Shakira’s 12-date residency in Spain’s capital at Shakira Stadium. The temporary venue was built within Madrid’s Iberdrola Music complex specifically for the star’s residency, which opened on September 18 and wraps with a 12th date on October 11.
Dua Lipa Joins Shakira for Acoustic Performance
Alongside Shakira’s anticipated set of hits spanning three decades of her career in Latin music, the October 3 concert included a surprise appearance by Dua Lipa. The “Don’t Start Now” singer joined Shakira onstage in front of a crowd of more than 50,000 fans to perform an acoustic version of “Antología” from Shakira’s 1997 album Pies Descalzos.
Shakira introduced Dua Lipa to the audience by calling it an honor and a privilege to sing this song, which means so much to me, with this woman who is so admired and loved around the world.
Shakira also gushed that the intimate moment was what this tour was missing.
Post-show, Dua Lipa shared her excitement on Instagram, writing in Spanish, I felt that you, me, and the audience were one. Very grateful to take home such a beautiful memory!!!

The successful broadcast led Amazon Music’s 2026 Women Shaping Latin Music campaign, which celebrates the artists, sounds, and cultural movements shaping Latin music. The October 3 concert marked the eighth night of Shakira’s Madrid residency.
