Seven die in separate car crashes in Ağrı and Ankara
Four people died in Ağrı’s Hamur district when a sugar-beet-laden truck collided with a car, while three others died earlier that same day on the Polatlı Yunak road in Ankara when two cars crashed head-on. The twin fatal crashes unfolded hours apart on October 25, 2026, leaving seven dead and several others injured across two separate regions.
Sugar Beet Truck and Car Collision in Ağrı
A sugar-beet-loaded truck bearing license plate 04 AAY 361 and driven by M.K. collided with a car whose driver’s name has not yet been determined. The crash occurred at the Hamur-Tutak junction in Ağrı’s Hamur district. Emergency medical, police, and AFAD teams arrived at the scene following reports from witnesses. The victims were identified as F.K., 15, V.K., 72, D.K., 62, and A.K., 36. Truck driver M.K. sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical care at Hamur State Hospital.
Head-On Collision on the Polatlı Yunak Road in Ankara
Hours prior to the Ağrı incident, an early morning crash in Ankara claimed three more lives. Two passenger cars collided head-on along the Polatlı Yunak road near the Yıldızlı Cumhuriyeti locality at approximately 06:00.
