Service Technician FAST License Jobs in Wyoming | Allied Universal

September 8, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Wyoming Service Technician Recruitment Drive

The position targets technical specialists capable of maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex commercial security infrastructure, including IP-based video surveillance and access control systems, across regional client sites.

Modern commercial properties require sophisticated safeguards that merge traditional physical defenses with digital networks. Bridging this operational gap demands specialized technical acumen that standard maintenance personnel rarely possess.

Field Responsibilities and Technical Hardware Demands

According to Allied Universal Technology Services, applicants for the Wyoming-based service technician role must possess a high school diploma, vocational school completion, or equivalent educational background. Candidates are required to bring at least two years of field experience in security technology deployment and troubleshooting.

Daily responsibilities center on commercial client locations accessed via company-issued vehicles. Technicians handle service, maintenance, and diagnostics on an extensive suite of hardware and software. Covered equipment includes electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems, and intercom systems.

Field personnel must interpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and low-voltage documentation safely. The role involves working with hand and power tools, analog and digital test equipment, and CCTV testing devices. Technicians frequently operate on ladders up to 16 feet high and lift components weighing up to 50 pounds.

Software Platforms and Mandatory Licensing Mandates

The recruitment guidelines indicate a preference for candidates familiar with specific industry software and hardware platforms. Preferred platforms include Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, and ONSSI.

Applicants must either possess state-specific licensing—such as a Class D or Alarm Installer credential—or demonstrate the ability to secure the necessary state licensing and the Fire Alarm Systems Technician (FAST) license upon hire. A working knowledge of Windows operating systems and overall IT network topology is also mandatory for diagnosing IP-based security architectures.

Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits Package

Compensation and benefits packaged with the Wyoming role include medical, dental, vision, a retirement plan, basic life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage, and disability insurance. The employment package provides eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, four personal days, and vacation time accruing at a rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
