Schlaining, austria – The Burgarena in Schlaining is set to host a series of highly anticipated musical events, with two upcoming concerts already sold out. The Burgenland regional orchestra will present a “Symphonic Tribute Show to Abba” on August 14th, followed by a performance from German singer-songwriter Konstantin Wecker on August 16th, marking the final open-air concert of this year’s sound festival.
Despite the sell-out status, event manager Werner Glösl of KBB (Kultur Betriebe Burgenland) has offered a glimmer of hope for eager fans. “Cards are sometimes returned, so we may still have a few remaining tickets at the evening box office,” Glösl revealed, suggesting that last-minute opportunities might arise for those hoping to attend.
The programming for the Schlaining sound festival has been lauded for its diverse and high-quality selection. Director Gerhard krammer highlighted the strength and soul present in each performance, from Hans Söllner and garish at “Under the Bridge” to Philipp Hochmair’s “Everyone Reloaded Show,” various blues artists, and Konstantin Wecker. Krammer emphasized that the unique atmosphere of the newly adapted Burgarena further enhances the concert experience. He is already collaborating with Glösl and the KBB Schlaining team to curate the program for 2026.
Claudia Priber, Managing Director of kulturbetriebe-Burgenland, expressed her satisfaction with the festival’s success, noting that the concept for cultural events in schlaining has fully paid off in terms of both visitor numbers and artistic achievements. The “sound autumn” series is scheduled to take place in Schlaining on November 3rd, 5th, and 7th, featuring artists such as Nina Proll.Prior to this, Opus mastermind Ewald Pfleger will present his biography, “Live Is life – My Life with a World Hit,” on Sunday, September 28th, at 6 PM.
