Santos FC Pursuing Juventude Coach Thiago Carpini for Next Head Coach Position

O Santos wants Thiago Carpini to be the club’s next coach. Peixe made a proposal to the coach, who currently manages Juventude, and should have a new meeting with the professional this Tuesday.

The initial project is for a two-year contract. However, there is still no agreement regarding financial issues between club and coach.

Before being elected by Peixe’s members last Saturday, president-elect Marcelo Teixeira’s ticket had already contacted the coach to consult him about his interest in coming to Vila Belmiro next year.

Thiago Carpini is on vacation with his family. The coach has a contract with the Caxias do Sul club until the end of next year and has a contract termination fine of more than R$1 million.

The coach is 39 years old and, before Juventude, he was runner-up in São Paulo with Água Santa. He began his career as a technical assistant at XV de Piracicaba. He also spent time at Botafogo-PB and Guarani, where he had his first opportunity as a coach. In addition to these clubs, he also played for Oeste, Inter de Limeira and Ferroviária.
