Breaking: Santikos Entertainment is planning a major entertainment complex in North san Antonio, anchored by a new cinema and accompanied by retail and residential components. The advancement will be located along U.S. Highway 281 at Trinity Park, south of Borgfeld road.
The San antonio-based Santikos Entertainment, currently operating eight theaters throughout the San Antonio metropolitan area, intends too build a theater exceeding 60,000 square feet. The project also includes plans for housing on a 14-acre parcel, a two-acre hotel, and 8,670 square feet dedicated to retail space.
Negotiations are underway to bring Willie’s Grill & Icehouse, a Texas-based restaurant chain known for its casual dining and live music, as a tenant within the development.
The Trinity Park location is part of a larger trend of development along the U.S.Highway 281 corridor, which has seen significant residential and commercial growth in recent years. Santikos’s expansion reflects the continued demand for entertainment options in the rapidly growing North San Antonio suburbs.
While an official opening date has not been announced, current project timelines, as reported by Community Impact, anticipate completion by 2027. The development is expected to contribute to the local economy through job creation and increased tax revenue.
