Sandra Stafecka praises director Džilindžers’ unconventional vision
Family Loyalty Takes Center Stage in Riga
“Family is always in first place. Regardless of what the child does, go, attend, and be their main fan,” Sandra Stafecka told the magazine Privātā Dzīve regarding her daughter Linda Kalniņa’s professional success and marriage to Dž. Dž. Džilindžers.
The latest production by Džilindžers, titled Ēriks un Anna, recently premiered at the Mikhail Chekhov Riga Russian Theatre’s Arcade, as reported by LA.LV. The staging featured movement direction by Linda Kalniņa, whom the director married this past summer. Stafecka attended the opening night alongside her husband Guntis, maintaining what has become a family tradition of supporting the couple’s theatrical projects.
Stafecka Praises Director for Unconventional Artistic Vision
Stafecka praised the director’s artistic vision, describing him as a creator with an unconventional perspective and structural depth in his work.
“Great director, he is definitely out-of-the-ordinary thinking. He has that inner spark that makes each of his plays special. There is layer upon layer, the viewer only has to dig these layers and notice what is hidden under them,” Stafecka told Privātā Dzīve.
Stafecka Uses Aromadiagnostics to Identify Personal Themes
Away from the theatre, Stafecka works as an aromatherapist, employing a method called aromadiagnostics where clients select essential oils from over 100 options to identify current personal themes. Her daughter Linda served as her very first client. Stafecka noted that Džilindžers is not yet familiar with the method and likely does not know much about her practice, though she offered a personal observation regarding which scent might suit him.
“He very much corresponds to a male-characterizing oil that talks about the fact that a man is a philosopher in a good sense. It is important for him to converse with a woman, and at the same time, it is important that the woman next to him is intelligent, smart,” Stafecka told the magazine, emphasizing that the assessment remains her own personal impression.
