The festival kicks off at 4 pm with music and entertainment, quickly followed by opportunities for children and young people to participate in a variety of sports disciplines offered by local associations. A highlight of the day will be the return of the ‘Palio del Ciabattino’ – a traditional race contested by the town’s districts: Centro, San Cono, Castello, Casetti Bruciaticcio, Tree Rione, Via Cupa, Bastia, Rio, Villagrappa, Cagnona, Sports Campo, and Torre.
Throughout the afternoon, adults can engage in open tests of various sports in Piazza Battaglini, running from 5 pm to 6 pm. At 7 pm, the focus shifts to recognizing local sporting talent with awards presented to Sammaurese citizens who have demonstrated commitment and passion, even outside of formal club affiliations. The evening will also feature presentations of local teams and official greetings, culminating in music and DJ sets until 9 pm.
