San Jose Police Arrest Five Suspects in Connection with Multiple Burglaries
SAN JOSE, CA – Five individuals were arrested on October 31st following a police inquiry into a residential burglary in west San Jose. The arrests were made possible through the use of automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras, according to the San Jose Police Department.
At approximately 10:14 a.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress where two suspects allegedly forced entry into a garage and stole property before fleeing in a vehicle.
Patrol officers subsequently located the suspect vehicle at a residence in the 100 block of Muirfield Drive.
Following a traffic stop, Juan Montano, 55, Ana Serrano, 32, and marisol Hernandez-Alvarez, 41, were taken into custody. A subsequent search of the vehicle and residence, conducted with search warrants, revealed a stolen rifle, a privately manufactured firearm, and property linked to several burglaries, investigators stated.
Two additional residents of the muirfield Drive home, Diego Roque-Arellano, 19, and Jesus Luvio-Roque, 44, were also arrested on charges related to possession of stolen property and firearm offenses.
All five suspects have been booked into the Santa Clara County main Jail.
