Two men are dead following a shooting outside Myst Hookah lounge in the 4500 block of North Loop 1604 West in San Antonio early Wednesday morning, police reported.

The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) responded to multiple 911 calls shortly before 1:30 a.m. Regarding gunfire at the hookah bar, according to KSAT. Preliminary investigations indicate a man was ejected from the establishment after a dispute. Shortly thereafter, that individual returned in a vehicle and opened fire on patrons in an outdoor smoking area, police stated.

Both victims, ages 27 and 50, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to SAPD reports. No other injuries were reported.

Vinnie Guerra, a videographer who had been working at the bar, described hearing approximately 20 gunshots immediately after entering the building. “As soon as I walked in the door, that’s when I heard the gunshots fire,” Guerra told KSAT. “I didn’t really think of anything at first, but until I looked back and saw two bodies, then I actually started getting into a panic mode.”

Police have not yet released a description of the shooter or identified a suspect. The investigation is ongoing, and SAPD is asking anyone with information to come forward.
