Samsung May Launch One UI 8.5 Beta Program This Fall
Samsung Galaxy users could get an early look at the next evolution of the company’s software as reports suggest a One UI 8.5 beta program may launch later this fall. This potential beta release precedes the expected full rollout of One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series.
Rumors of One UI 8.5 began circulating in September, when tipsters reportedly discovered early test builds on Samsung’s internal servers, utilizing the Galaxy S25 series for testing. While initial reports offered little detail, the possibility of a substantial 8.5 update – rather than a minor “8.1” iteration - has fueled ongoing speculation about new features.
Recent reports indicate Samsung is actively developing several key features for One UI 8.5.These include an AI-powered Call Screening feature, mirroring Google’s Pixel functionality, designed to automatically answer, transcribe, and filter unwanted calls. Testing for the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro is also reportedly underway alongside the software development.
