Samsung Confirms Galaxy S26 Lineup,Focuses on AI Integration with Nvidia Partnership
SEOUL,SOUTH KOREA – Samsung Electronics plans to release its next flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S26,in early 2026,maintaining its traditional three-model structure: the Galaxy S26,Galaxy S26+,and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company will discontinue the special edition Galaxy S25 Edge, launched in 2025, and instead concentrate on enhancing performance, battery life, and integration with its Galaxy AI ecosystem.
The declaration comes alongside a strategic alliance with Nvidia to establish an “AI megafactory” in Texas. This complex will house 50,000 graphics processing units (GPUs) to accelerate electronic chip manufacturing and bolster the production of both smartphones and robots.
According to nvidia’s official Newsroom, the project leverages Samsung’s expertise in semiconductor technology alongside Nvidia’s computing power, aiming for up to 20 times greater performance in tasks like electronic component design and testing. Samsung will also update its HBM4 memory – crucial for AI chips – and implement Nvidia’s Omniverse software. Omniverse enables the creation of virtual factories for simulating real-world operations, preventing failures, improving efficiency, and facilitating rapid decision-making, as reported by CNBC.
Samsung’s focus on AI integration signals a broader strategy to expand artificial intelligence across its product portfolio and manufacturing processes. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be at the forefront of this initiative, benefiting directly from the advancements made through the Nvidia partnership.
