Samsung Galaxy S26: Release Date, Features & Price Updates
Samsung has confirmed its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco, with a livestream expected to begin around 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The event will center on the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, including the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, and will showcase the company’s latest advancements in artificial intelligence integration.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 Ultra are slated to open the day following the keynote address, February 26th, though timing may vary by region. Reports from South Korea indicate a two-step process: an initial pre-order window followed by a pre-sale phase allowing reservations to be finalized upon retail availability. A deal offering $900 off the Galaxy S26 Ultra is already available for reservation, according to Samsung.
Samsung is positioning the Galaxy S26 lineup as its most AI-focused smartphone series to date, emphasizing deeper integration of its Galaxy AI ecosystem. The company has stated the new devices are “built to simplify everyday interactions” and aim to make AI perceive seamlessly integrated for users. Improvements are expected in on-device intelligence, real-time assistance, and personalization across applications, photography, and productivity tools.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, whereas the Galaxy S26 and S26+ may utilize Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 chipset in select markets. Configurations across the lineup are anticipated to include up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Expected display sizes are currently unconfirmed, though the Galaxy S26 is expected to have a 6-inch display.
Samsung has not dramatically overhauled the design language of the S26 series, instead focusing on refinements. The Galaxy S26+ was reportedly listed for sale online ahead of the official Unpacked event, though this listing was quickly removed. Samsung’s newest products will be unveiled later this month, and the company is offering early pre-order discounts.
