Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series is reportedly set to feature battery capacity upgrades, with leaks suggesting critically important increases for some models.
The smallest device in the new lineup, the Galaxy S26 Pro, is expected to replace the standard Galaxy S26. According to information from GalaxyClub, this model will boast a nominal battery capacity of 4,175 mAh, translating to a typical advertised capacity of 4,300 mAh.This represents a 300 mAh increase over the Galaxy S25’s 4,000 mAh battery.
Moving to the mid-tier option, the Galaxy S26 Edge, is anticipated to have a nominal capacity of 4,078 mAh, with a typical capacity of 4,200 mAh. This also marks a 300 mAh jump from the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 3,900 mAh battery. Though, another leaker, IceUniverse, has suggested the S26 Edge battery could be as high as 4,400 mAh.
The flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to retain its predecessor’s 5,000 mAh battery capacity. While the capacity may remain the same, the charging speed is rumored to increase from 45W to 60W.
The potential battery specifications for the Galaxy S26 series are as follows:
- Galaxy S26 Pro: 4,300 mAh
- Galaxy S26 Edge: 4,200-4,400 mAh
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: 5,000 mAh
These upgrades come as competitors in the chinese market are reportedly introducing devices with battery capacities ranging from 6,000 to 7,000 mAh or even higher.
