Breaking: Samsung has begun rolling out its August security update, with the Galaxy A54 being the frist device to receive the new software. The update is currently available in the Netherlands, according to reports from Galaxy Club, and is expected to expand to other regions shortly.
Users can choose to wait for the automatic over-the-air (OTA) update notification, or manually initiate the download and installation process through Settings -> Software update -> Download and Install. This latest update focuses primarily on security enhancements, addressing vulnerabilities and improving system stability.
The August security patch addresses 34 vulnerabilities, including 25 Samsung-specific vulnerabilities. While the initial rollout is to the A54 (SM-A546B), Samsung is expected to expand the update to other Galaxy devices, including flagship models like the Galaxy S23 series and foldable phones like the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, in the coming weeks. The updateS build number for the A54 is A546BXXS2AWG1.
