Samsung Electronics Indonesia launched the Galaxy A07 5G smartphone on Friday, offering a 5G-enabled device at a price point starting at two million Indonesian Rupiah (approximately $128 USD), according to a company announcement.
The release of the Galaxy A07 5G aims to address the growing demand for mobile entertainment and connectivity in Indonesia, particularly as 5G networks expand throughout the country. Annisa Maulina, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, stated the company believes “technology should make digital activities feel lighter and more enjoyable.”
The Galaxy A07 5G features a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, designed for smoother visuals during streaming and scrolling. It is powered by a Dimensity 6300 chipset and includes a substantial 6,000 mAh battery, offering a 120% increase in capacity compared to the previous generation, Samsung stated. The device also boasts IP54 dust and water resistance and a glass-fiber-reinforced polymer back panel for increased durability.
Samsung is integrating its new AI capabilities, including Google Gemini and Circle to Search, into the Galaxy A07 5G. Gemini can be activated with a press of the side button, assisting with tasks across native Galaxy apps and select third-party applications. Circle to Search allows users to quickly find information about items on their screen, such as images, music, or text.
The phone includes a 50 MP camera and offers 128 GB of storage, expandable via microSDXC. It was announced in January 2026 and runs Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8, with a promise of up to six major operating system upgrades.
Samsung’s launch of the Galaxy A07 5G is part of a broader effort to democratize access to AI-powered features across its Galaxy A series devices, the company said.
