Safe Software: FME Platform Enhancements & Business Integration News
Safe Software, headquartered in Surrey, British Columbia, today announced an expansion of its FME platform with the introduction of MCP, a new capability designed to further integrate data and artificial intelligence solutions. The announcement, made simultaneously in London, positions FME as a central platform for organizations seeking to leverage data across diverse systems and AI applications.
According to the company, FME is now positioned as the only “All-Data, Any-AI” integration platform. This expansion aims to streamline data workflows, connecting databases, real-time systems, business platforms, and AI services into a unified environment. The platform is designed to facilitate the transformation of everyday data into actionable insights, according to Safe Software.
The FME platform is a no-code solution, intended to allow businesses across various industries to integrate their data without requiring extensive programming expertise. Examples cited by Safe Software include increased operational efficiency for the City of Burnaby through 24/7 processing of “Call Before You Dig” requests, reducing processing time to between one and three minutes per ticket. Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is also utilizing FME to create a digital twin for next-generation airport operations. Organizations in architecture, engineering, and construction are reportedly saving $60,000 annually by automating processes with FME, while a non-profit, Kitzrettung-Ortenau, achieved an 80% time savings while rescuing 569 fawns in a single season.
Safe Software is planning to host the “Peak of Data and AI” conference in London, UK, from March 9-11, 2027, at the QEII Centre in Westminster. The event will focus on emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovative solutions built with FME. Details regarding the conference are forthcoming.
